Matty J and Starr McGowan host AiMCO Awards 2022

The brightest and best of the vibrant Australian influencer marketing industry will come together to find out who are the winners of the 2022 AiMCO Awards on Thursday, February 16, 2023.

Hosting this glittering night will be two leading Australian creators, Matty J and Starr McGowan.

Matty J won the AiMCO Awards 2021 Best Instagram Creator Award at the inaugural event and will open this year’s awards. Matthew Johnson rose to fame in the fifth series of The Bachelor which led him to his partner and set him on the path of becoming a devoted family man. He’s one of Australia’s favourite talents spanning digital creator, comedian, TV presenter and podcast host. Matty J has over 338k followers on Instagram and 126k followers on TikTok @matthewdavidjohnson.  

Matty J said "As someone who lives and breathes social media, it's an absolute honour and privilege to be given the responsibility to host the AiMCO Awards. Starr McGowan, managed by leading talent agency Amplify, is a comedian affectionately known as the “Bogan Margot Robbie", who creates hilarious and relatable skits. In addition to her TikTok channel @starrmcgowan with 136k followers and her Instagram channel @starrmcg with 20k followers, Starr is regularly spotted on the red carpet interviewing some of the biggest celebrities coming through Australia, including Baz Lurhmann and Austin Butler at the recent Elvis premier.

The AiMCO Awards 2022 celebrate the Power of Connection through the four pillars of Creativity, Community, Culture, and Collaboration with 24 brand, industry and creator category winners to be announced on the night, along with the coveted AiMCO Most Influential Award.
